Hi I'm booked for the 9th of April 15 day tour, travelling solo and my first contiki. I have family in the UK and they all tell me april is the best time, Its still cool and not during any of there holidays there for not as busy and not as expensive. Rhiannon
Its the Great britian and Southern Ireland tour. The first 10 days are with people just doing Great britian, after that they go back to london people continuing on meet people only doing Southern Ireland tour. Its all a bit confusing but I hope this helps??
Hi Rhiannon, I'm doing the April 14th tour and don't know what to pack, any suggestions? Like clothing, shoes, etc.....I'm from Los Angeles and don't really know what to expect weather wise since it's always sunny and hot here!!! It's my first time going to Europe.....
Hi nicagirl, I think I might be on the same tour as you my first choice of dates got cancelled. Anyway check out contikipedia for packing lists there are some great ideas for what to pack, some even with photos. I think wearing layers will be the key, all the buildings are heated so you'll want to be able to strip off when your inside. As far as shoes everyone says only take 3 pairs, but for me this is really hard so I'm planning on taking thongs, sketchers, sandles, wedges and nice heels (be warned apperently they get stuck in the cobble stone roads) Its so hard because your limited to 20KG of luggage but I'm staying for another 4 weeks, so I need clothes!
