I'm a little confused...my contiki book and itinery tells me the tour starts on the 6th September 2007??????? Has anything changed??????

I think I have finally figured out this departure date issue. I live in Canada, which is obviously in the western hemisphere. Meanwhile, you folks, from, Australia are in the Eastern Hemisphere. As you are travelling the world from West->East, you gain 1 day, due to the international date line. So that is why in my book the dep. says Sept. 6, and for you folks it is Sept.7 Does this make any sense at all? That's my thinking!!

Thanks for helping me try to figure this one out......I contacted my travel agent today and also asked her to check it out for me.

I'd say your probably right.
So I guess that means you will be on the same tour as myself and Jaimie. We will look forward to meeting you!
