Hey all...

Anyone else coming with me? My travel agent called Contiki, they said we can get ticx to the big show thru Contiki (they are sold out already!), so this really the only way to go! I'm staying in Edinburgh after and making my way thru northern Scotland, then over to Ireland and Wales...total trip is August 22-Sept. 8...anyone else interested?!?

Well, after the tour, I'm going to head to Glasgow, then I think I'm going to hit Belfast, Dublin, and somewhere on the West Coast, maybe Galway? Then propbably one night in Wales on my way back to London to fly home...still in planning mode though! Basically, I have from August 27-September 8 to explore Smiler

Where are you from?

nice! would you by any chance know the best ferry route to take from Ireland to Wales? I need to get to Cardiff, coming from Dublin (but could train to another port first)

if you look at the website irishferries.com, it should help you choose the best ferry to get you to cardiff.

Thanks Smiler I actually ended up booking a flight on Aer Arann...about the same price as the ferry, and cuts almost 6 hours off my time!

Hey irish_guy....when you went last time, were the tickets to the military tattoo show included, or do you buy them off your tour manager? Also, I heard that Edniburgh has some awesome ghost tours...will there be time to do that one night?

FYI: Heard from a relative in Edinburgh, she said the tickets for the Military Tattoo have been sold out since the end of February! I'm very happy Contiki runs this tour!

when i saw the tattoo a couple of years it was great, plus it was the 200th anniversary of the battle of trafalgar, so much of the tattoo was dedicated to it.

wow, i'm really looking forward to it! The description on the military tattoo website gave me goosebumps, so i'm sure i'll enjoy it! I got my contiki documents from my travel agent the other day, looks like we'll be staying in the University!
