Has anyone done this tour? If so, do you recommend it? I'm saving to go overseas, for the first time (i'm 20). And how do you feel about Contiki tours? I'm still not sure if I want to go Contiki, or just somewhere overseas by myself (organising my own accommodation/food etc).
I looked at doing it off my own back (also being a first time traveller) but when I added up travelling expenses and accommodation it was way more expensive! And then there's the complications of figuring out how to get from place to place and where was best to go and where to avoid... In the end I just ended up with a big headache and more confused than when I started! I've booked on the LA to the Bay tour in July, with a week on my own in a hostel at either end - that way if there's any place on the tour I fancy nipping back to, it shouldn't be too difficult to do!
Im under 21 too, but ill be celebrating my 21st when im over there on the 2nd day for LA-TO THE BAY - 30th sep 2009...any more information i can get about this tour or contiki itself, i already had a cancellation on the 14th oct tour from them... ?
