Hello there, I will be joining the tour on the 30th April. I arrive in LA on the 28th. Want to see as much as I can(will not be that much) then hit the tour.

Nice to meet you Brenden... I don't know if I'll be staying any extra days yet... got 3 Contikis booked for next year already... so it's running me lots of $$$... I know I'd like to see a few things in L.A. and San Fran at the end... but we'll see...
I'm sure there's more people... there usually is It's pretty early to tell. seems like everyone's got the travel bug for 2008. Yea, plenty to see and do... I think San Diego's gonna be great... will be my first time to Vegas... don't know what to expect there
Ya Vegas'll be a party... but I'm looking forward to San Diego. I hope we'll get a good group of people too... but it's early... hopefully more people will join the message board... It'll be tons of fun though... Tours are what you make of them
Why San Diego? I heard it’s a great city, but guessing just another city?
I thought we might have a few more people replying to this thread, but I guess we still have 4 months to go? What will the weather be like that time of the year? I hope super hot!
Chris cant I ask how old you are? I'm 35 so just made it haha.

Oh yes! what date do you get to LA? I'm thinking if I should get a room at the hotel in Anaheim or downtown LA. Are they far apart and is it easy to get around? You been to LA before?

San Diego's the best city in the States... The oranges are fresh off the trees... but I'm biased... there's a lot to do in the area like L.A., the air's so much more cleaner and so are the beaches, at least last time I was there... I've been to L.A. and it's pretty easy to get around... when it's not rush hour... I don't know if I'll go earlier... wanting to see some sights in L.A. like Universal Studios and Disneyland... but we'll see how much $$$ I've got... I'll be 35 on tour...
Well I think Vancouver is the best city in the world - Love that place or Cape Town is fab too.
Yes I just realised that I’m only in LA for a day and a half so it’s going to be very tight trying to get much done. Might just hit down town LA on the day I arrive and then on the 29th will to Universal Studios

Yea, I might only come down for a day before tour... I'll see what happens with my work schedule... still lots of time to decide...
Vancouver's awesome... I'm looking forward to leading the Canada & Rockies tour this summer... I'll be a booked traveller on that tour, but I'm going to make a few arrangements for the group on the side...
Universal Studios is a good place to check out... out of all the attractions I think that's one of the ones I would like to go back and see... the other is Sea World... which is in San Diego... I might stay a day or two and try and hit Alcatraz in San Fran...
Hi Chris, I think I will only have time to see some of Universal Studios and down town LA not much time at all, but saying that, I might cancel this tour and go a week later. I thinking of spending longer in New Zealand, 14 days is just not enough to see the place. Just going to see how much they going to charge me for cancelling flights etc if its not too much I might just do it! I'm staying an extra 6 days is San Fran as I have friends there and want to as much as I can. I love Canada so much, its a beautiful country.

Yea... I think the fees not that much... I had to switch tours once and they charged me about $30 Can... which is prob about 14 pounds or so... Best piece of advice I can give is do whatever works for you, either way, it was nice meeting you. San Fran's apparently a great city... but I don't have much extra travel time as I'm doing 3 Contikis for the first half of 2008... none more than 14 days long though... Canada's awesome... you need lots of time to go explore... Canada & The Rockies is always a good trip to do... so is the Grand Canadian (depending on price range you want to spend)
Hi Chris, hope you are well? I'm confirmed for my new date now. I'm leaving a week later so my tour starts on the 7th May. I’m staying and extra week in New Zealand too. It’s a pity we couldn’t have met up but never mind. I hope you have a super trip and it was good chatting.
Brenden.
