Hey All,

Anyone joining LA to the bay departing on 19 August? I'm flying in the day before the tour starts and would like to check out LA (maybe Disneyland) with anyone who is interested!

Hi Renee,

Im now booked on the same tour as you on the 19th Aug. Im really looking forward to it. I will be arriving in LA 3 days before so will definately be wanting to see some sights before hand.
Im then staying in San Fran for a few days and then travelling on to Australia.

I'll be going on the Aug 19 LA to the Bay as well. I'm really looking forward to the trip. It'll be my first trip to the south-west states.

I'll be flying in the day before too. Arriving around dinner time. What time will you be arriving?

Hi Lyndsey and Sarah,

I am flying in at 7.00 am on the 18th! So have teh first full day there! I am staying at the Best Western we need to meet at on the 19 th so hopefully we can all catch up and head out for the night to break the ice!

I'm 22 from Melbourne Australia (Lydnsey - maybe I can show you around when you come!) and this is my first trip by myself so its really good to be able to touch base!

Lyndsey, it is great you are now doing the full LA to the Bay - it is going to be so much fun! What are your plans in LA before hand?

Sarah, where are you from? what are your post tour plans?

Im flying in on the 16th , get in quite late so going to just crash at an airport hotel. Then im booked in the Best Westin for the 2nights before the tour starts so we should definately meet before and go see some sights, i think im just going to do one of the sight seeing bus tours as im going to try and do this travelling on a budget (ha ha well i can try)

Renee...it would be great for someone to show me round Melbourne...ive heard very good things about it and my best friends all seem to think ill love it there the most!!So as im on a budget ill probably make my way down there and get a job for a few weeks. Im so excited!!

Are you staying in San Fran for a bit after the tour or are you flying straight home?

Well my plan is fly in at 7.00 am on the 18th have a shower and quick nap if needed (ha ha) at the best western and then head out and see the sights. For some reason I think Disneyland would be cool - it is open to mid night and I hear they do an amazing fireworks show at night? Just a thought really.

Melbourne is great Lyndsey I am sure you really will love it! Have you been to Australia before?

After the tour I am doing 7 days in New York (which I am so excited about) however if we have the time on our last tour day I would love to try to get to Alcatraz.

I'm from Nanaimo, BC (Canada). I'm 29. This will be my first time going on a tour.

I'll be flying back home the day after the tour (Aug 29th 2pm). I wish I could explore more places, but I only have 2 weeks off work so I have to go back home.

I'm hoping to save up for a tour of Australia and New Zealand in a few years.

I went to Disney in Florida and it was AMAZING so i wouldnt mid going to the one in LA because we didnt see the fireworks when i went. Also i am DEFINATELY on for Alcatraz...its one of the things i am really looking forward too!!

This is going to be a great couple of weeks! Lyndsey I am flying out at 11 pm on the last day of our tour so Im looking at booking in the night tour of Alcatraz that night! It starts at 6 pm and Im told its only half an hpur to the air port so although Im going to be pushing it for time - I know it will be worth it!

And I am sure Disneyland will be beautiful and a lot of fun - we will simply have a blast and a great way to get to know each other before the tour starts.

Other than that I just have one other thing Im looking at doing and thats the Cirque du Soleil Love show in vegas (based on the beatles music) my friends tell me it is amazing! Plus its on at 7.00 pm which gives me pleanty of time to still go out with the group afterwards!

This is getting very exciting and the count down is well and truely on!

Just booked up the LA to the Bay tour too and doing solo as well. I fly in on the 18 and have 1 or 2 additional days in SF. Should be fun.
