Hey!

Previous travels = Have done London/England about 4-5 times, France (Paris and South of France), Greece, Greek Islands and Turkey (my fav). Did a FEZ (guessing like Contiki) tour around Turkey and Greek Islands. That was a couple of years ago.

Haven't really explored too much of "cultural :P" Europe, but in saying that I would have hit up Netherlands, Germany and Sweden before I catch up with you guys in Nov. I hopefully will also have a tan from my 2 weeks in Mauritius!

Haven't traveled internationlly for a while since I was living in Melb and used my holidays to return to Perth. Funny enough, now that I live back in Perth, I use my holidays to head over to Melbourne.

How about all of you?
I looked to save you typing it out again but couldn't see it.

P.s. Feels kinda weird to talk to you all this far out from the trip. Feels like I'm opening my Christmas presents early or something? LOL

is anyone staying longer than the actual tour. im there for a whole day b4 and after.. just wondering if anyone knows of any exciting adventures that i can go on?

I'm jetting into LA about a week before so I'll have some advice closer to the date jasmine - LOL.

I've been told that the Contiki start hotel is BEST WESTERN STOVALS INN in Aniheim(?) so I'm there a couple of days before and I'll just be doing Disney for those days I think - Big Kid!

As for after - I'll be hanging in SF for about a week - I believe I'm staying in the Contiki hotel for a couple of days before finding some other accomdiation once i know the city better

Im definately up for Disney Land and Universal Studios and Alcatraz... just dont know if ill have enough time... ive had to change all my flights (days and times) and finaly got everything sorted but now i wish id booked it so i could stay a little longer. Oh well theres always next time! : )
Im trying to work my butt off so i can do everything possible while we are on tour.

Hey Guys, just doing a bit of work on my holiday... thought I would mention to you all that the optional Vegas show you see is called "V" and its US$55.

The Contiki forums didn't rate the show that high and suggested to check out what else was playing http://www.vegas.com/shows/ - I believe the date we are in Vegas is Tues, Nov 24 (you better double check coz I take no blame) :P

P.s I wouldn't book though that website as its cheaper if you go direct to the source - like Ticketmaster etc.

P.p.s I just booked Cher for Nov 24... apparently is an amazing show. I only know like 2 of her songs = LOL

Ive got good news and bad news....here goes

Bad News!!! Ive just been informed that our tour does not enter Mexico as they used to before.

Good News!!! No need to apply for a Mexican visa. lol. The good news is .. more time to spend in San Diego.


Tip. If you thinking of going to Alcatraz, you might as well book now as the tickets gets sold out quite fast.

Yeah, the not going to Mexico has been the case for a while. Been hoping that it would change - but it hasn't.

I'm leaving my Alcatraz tickets as I'm in San Fran for the whole week after Contiki - but you're right - best to book them ASAP for all those that wanna see it whilst on Contiki!

Do you have any idea if we are able to do the alcatraz tour during the last day of the contiki tour?

We looked into doing the evening tour after contiki finished but they do not do eveing tours in the winter

The Contiki Itinerary reads: Alcatrz is not included in this tour. However, you may book tickets in advance by going to www.alcatrazcruises.com. We highly recommend you book ASAP as space is limited and sells quickly. We suggest booking the earliest cruise with audio (9.30am) as it allows the read of the day at leisure.

Seems like we must be getting up CRAZY early in Yosemite to get to San Fran for 9.30 that day... :s

Prob best to call Contiki if you want more info - and then let us know what they said
