Hi there, my name is Karina, I'm a 26yo female from Sydney. I haven't booked the tour yet yet, but thinking of doing this tour in Sept/Oct this year. After the tour I am looking to spend a few days in San Fran, then a few days in Disneyland. At this stage I am travelling on my own, so thought I'd see if anyone else was going or thinking of going. I have just booked LA to the Bay trip for 12th September, i too am travelling alone. I am in LA from 7th with disneyland 3 day pass then 3 days after the tour in san francisco. I have never done a contiki tour and looking so forward to it.

After which i depart for London.

Hi BenBurgess, pretty much sounds like what I want to do, but I still don't know exactly when yet!! Hopefully I can get it sorted soon - depends on time off from work. Once you go to London, are you doing a Contiki tour there as well? I definately recommend it.

I am on the European Encounter tour from 28th September...so excited, am thinking of adding a few more days in LA though cos there seems to be so much to do there.

I just looked up your tour, it looks like a good one. I did European Vista in 2004 - was absolutely fantastic!! You will have a such a great time. Have you been on a Contiki Tour before?

My gf and I are doing 'LA to The Bay' on Wednesday 12th September. We arrive in Los Angeles on Friday 7th September so have 5 days beforehand. After the tour we are in San Francisco for 3 days then fly to New Orleans for another Contiki. Hope to hear some more from you guys.

Sounds like fun doing 2 Contiki Tours. I am still not sure of exact dates, will know within a week or two - depends on work really. Will advise when I know more.

Yes it is my 1st Contiki tour. The funny thing is I did the exact same 'LA to The Bay' tour in 1996 on a Cosmos tour bus. Every day was amazing so here I am 11 years later doing it again on Contiki!

I have actually booked for 18th October tour now. I had to plan around 2 weddings in the end, so I had to go to in October. Wish I was going a bit earlier, but just couldn't!! You will have a ball, Contiki is great fun!!

I just clicked on this link because I live in Huntington Beach, CA - about 10 minutes from Disneyland. I noticed that almost everyone here is from Aus. or NZ. I'm planning on going to NZ in August - can't wait! Any advice on NZ you can give me I'd love to have.

In exchange, I can tell you everything you need to know about southern Calif. and Disneyland. I've lived here my whole life. Fall is a beautiful time to come as is August.

Ben and I are starting our 'LA to The Bay' tour on the 12th September so we will be in LA for a few days beforehand.

August is the middle of winter down here. It's cold, but beautifully scenic. I would recommend checking out Auckland for a little bit at least, but a Contiki or Kiwi Experience around the South Island would be where it's at. Do you ski or snowboard? How long are you here for?
