I'm booking my tour this week...it would be my first Contiki trip and can't wait...and I'm also travelling alone. have you guys taken the transfer from the aeroport ? or are you finding your way to the hotel on your own?

I'm making my own way from the airport, i didnt realise there was another option, what time does your flight get in ? might be a chance for a few of us to share a taxi ? im flying across from paris and get in around 2pm

Hi there ! It's skorpiosa....have soem connecting problems so i've created a new profile.
I found out that there could be an extra fee of 25$ if you want to be picked up by contiki at the aeroport. But it is way cheaper if you simply get there on your own...i have verified the info about public transportation .

My flight will arrive from Amsterdam at 12h30. It takes less time to get downtown by public transp than by taxi as I've noticed. The cab sharing might be interesting ... only i would have to wait about 2hours for your flight to arrive ...

I just noticed this string for the trip - looks like quite a diverse group... hopefully, it will be a memorable tour.

MFS - being from SoCal, I imagine you know more Spanish vocab than most. I don't think my high school Spanish will get me much further than asking where the bathroom is or ordering a beer or three.

I'm so looking forward to meeting all of you very soon. It's really nice to see another person that is travelling on their own from Canada. My last contiki trip was the european encounter for 18 days. We had a fantastic time and i know this trip will be so much fun! I emailed the tour group and yes it is cheaper to find a cab from the airport. I was quoted 25 euros. My flight arrives at 10:20am in Madrid with Delta. I connect in Atlanta. When are you guys getting in Madrid ? Where do you transit ? I have a stop in amsterdam for about 2hours and my flight will arrive at 12h30...IT's the countdown...:-)

I get into Madrid a day early on Sun, Mar 11 around 9AM to catch a bullfight and maybe check out the markets. Im leaving Barcelona a few days after the end of the tour - on Sunday, Mar 25 in the AM hours.
