Hello, my name is Howard. I'm going April 20- May 1 trip. I'm from New York City, United States. My parents are from the Phillipines, so I know a bit of Spanish. I've been practicing it for the last three months in anticipation of this trip.
I'm too psyched to see Barcelona! Especially after seeing the movies Barcelona and L'Auberge Espagnole. I'm going to stay in Barcelona for a day and a half after the tour. Might bring my skateboard and/or my wetsuit (rent a surfboard). Also, I hear there is horseback riding in Ibiza.
I speak a little tagalog and from that and friends that are half phillipino/spanish I have too learn't a little spanish. I must admit my spanish needs some serious brushing up...but I'm sure we're going to have plenty of time to put it topractice over our upcoming holiday of Spain (ONLY 2 WEEKS TO GO! ) Barcelona I am really looking forward to and have heard it is just Amazingin so many ways! You have inspired me to watch Barcelona and L'Auberge Espagnole ! My sister (Carly) and I are staying a day in Barcelona before the tour and two days in Ibiza seeing some of the other Balearic islands after the spanish spree.Definately look into bringing your wetsuit to rent a board while your there! Is anyone up for clubbing (dance clubs)? Spain is supposed to be party central - especially Ibiza. I love clubbing, but not staying out too late (unless I've had a disco nap). I posted some photos on my Contiki profile, but you can also see me on Facebook
Carly and I are definately up for clubbing...we're all on all up for a good time away! Carly and I booked this tour to celebrate our 18th & 21st together as we turn these ages in the same year 3 months apart. Hey Shelza...Aussie gal!!!!! Carly and I are from Lake Macqaurie, Australia. You sound like yourdoing exactly the same as Carly and I,we are arriving one day before in Barcelona and staying one day after the tour in Ibiza. Lucky you travelling at the moment! Hey everyone! I'm from Toronto and coming on this tour with my best friend. We both vowed to learn Spanish before leaving but unfortunately, that hasn't panned out the way I'd hoped. (Too busy studying for an exam that's happening tomorrow, actually!)
Anyways...we'll probably see y'all at the hotel in Barcelona...we'll be the two Asian girls trying to sleep off the jet lag in the lobby if they don't allow us to check in right away.
I'm staying in Barcelona an extra two days after the tour. I tried to book a hotel and like 1/2 the places are already booked! Luckily, I found a place.

I think where we are staying in Barcelona is near Park Guell. I'll probably check that out Sunday afternoon. I think a lot of stuff will be closed Sunday afternoon. (Catholic country).
