My name's Larissa (yes, another aussie!) and I will be on the August 1 Spanish Spree tour with my cousin Meg. Can't wait! I've heard it will be pretty hot when we're there - 45 degrees in Madrid at that time of year! phew! Hope the bus has good air conditioning!

Hey Riss,
Im now booked on the August 1 departure.  It will be hot in Spain in August, but I think 45 deg is an extreme case.  According to weather.co.uk the average max for Madrid in August is 32 (just nice!).

Its good to see a bunch of Aussies doing this Spanish tour. So excited.  Im only 21 and doing the tour (as well as three other contiki tours - including the european adventure on the 18th of august) by myself. Hope there will be a few other solo travellers as well. Would love to hear from anyone before hand doing this tour. Hey everyone!

I'm travelling alone so I'm glad to see that others are doing the same!  I hear that this trip is a lot of fun!!

I'm actually leaving for Spain tomorrow, and spending a few days outside Barcelona before heading over to Madrid on Tuesday; is anyone else planning on being in Madrid early in the afternoon on August 1?
