Just booked the first tour of the spring. I'm arriving on the 19th to explore Barcelona before the tour begins and I'm planning on visiting Valencia after the tour ends on May 1st. I'm sooo excited. Anyone else doing this tour?

Hi Jess and Carly! Looking forward to meeting you too. I think my friend might be joining us on this tour (she hasn't decided yet). I'm from New York City and this will be my 3rd Contiki tour...I did New Zealand in December '06 and Simply Italy in March '07. Had such a fantastic time on both tours, can't wait to explore Spain and have a ton of fun.

This is my 3rd Contiki also (Carly's 1st)...I did European contrasts in 2005 and all over New Zealand in 2006- I keep coming back for more too- they are easy & just loads of fun!
Looking forward to experiencing our 3rd on the Spanish Spree...P.S Carly and I are staying for a few days at the end in Ibiza and are planning to make our way out to some of the other Ballearic islands.

I'm excited to meet someone that traveled New Zealand. Did you do the Grand Explorer tour? I had the time of my life there. Isn't it such a beautiful country?

Yeah good idea visiting the other islands- it's worth doing while you're there. We are planning on making a trip out to Mallorca and Formentera (so interesting you know of Formentera- no one I talk to does!)
I did do the NZ Grand Explorer in August 06...So beautiful, as they say there is a piece of the world in New zealand because its so diverse- Ive travelled all over Australia, New Zealand and quite a few countries across Europe and I was amazed that I was comparing so many similarities of each of them to NZ.
Well...its only 2 months to Go!!!!!!!

Palma is in Mallorca, it has a huge Gothic cathedral that's near the waterfront and one of the island's specialities is ensaimada (a pastry).

Okay, I have to stop thinking about this trip, at least for now ;-)

Hi all, my name is Howard. I'm going April 20- May 1 trip. I'm from New York City, United States. My parents are from the Phillipines, so I know a bit of Spanish. I've been practicing it for the last three months in anticpation of this trip.

I'm too psyched to see Barcelona! Especially after seeing the movies Barcelona and L'Auberge Espagnole. I'm going to stay in Barcelona for a day and a half after the tour. Might bring my skateboard and/or my wetsuit (rent a surfboard). I hope it's warm enough to hang out on the beach in Ibiza.

I speak a little tagalog and from that and friends that are half phillipino/spanish I have too learn't a little spanish. I must admit my spanish needs some serious brushing up...but I'm sure we're going to have plenty of time to put it topractice over our upcoming holiday of Spain (ONLY 2 WEEKS TO GO! )
Barcelona I am really looking forward to and have heard it is just Amazingin so many ways! You have inspired me to watch Barcelona and L'Auberge Espagnole !
