Hola Everyone (Bernice, I'm so glad you found the link to this forum I posted on Facebook),
I already have the list of our hotels and am getting so psyched for Spain! I see on the detailed itinerary that our group isn't scheduled to gather together with the tour manager until 18:00 on Wednesday the 14th. My flight gets in early in the morning that day, around 7:30 -- anyone else arriving around that time and want to split taxi or figure out metro?
Also, if any of you would like to meet earlier and hit a museum, grab a bite to eat, stroll around, window shop and relax let me know. I see our first full day together, Thursday the 15th, we will visit the Royal Palace and the Prado (I'm not up for any bullfights) but I would also like to see the Reina Sofia and Thyssen before we move on to Toledo... perhaps if some of you are not too jet lagged we could do that on Wednesday. The 'Paseo del Arte' pass for all three museums is 14.40€
I am looking forward to meeting all of you in a few weeks. ¡Nos vemos! Carolyn
P.S. Question for the ladies: I travel with only a 22-inch carryon bag. How many pairs of shoes are you bringing? More than two (1 day/1 night)?

Hi! It's Gwendolyn again from Portland, Oregon USA. My plane lands at 12:50 so I might be too late for the people arriving in the morning. I would love to meet up if anyone else is arriving around that time.
As far as shoes... I've decided to bring three pairs - walking shoes, dress shoes, and sandals.
I'm so excited to see all of you in Madrid!

Hi. Im Kaitlin from Sydney Australia. I think i am arriving in Madrid on the 12th so if anyone is arriving around then we should meet up and stay in a cheap hostel until the 14th.
And Carolyn I'd love to look around Madrid on the Wednesday before our tour meets.
Also about the shoes.. i did the European Experince contiki tour earlier this year and you will need a pair of good walking shoes because there is ALOT of walking and also a comfotable pair of dressy shoes because you usually have to walk a fair distance to go out!!
