I am 28 years old and from Canada.
I am going to spain may 17th and i am planing to go alone so its a little bit scary.
Anyone else going at that time?

It's a great possibility I'll be there and traveling solo as well! (22/female from US)

Also...anyone planning on this trip plan to continue traveling Europe (Italy perhaps!) for a while after? I'm just using it as an intro to another month in Europe and going solo so would love to meet up with other travelers!

i just booked this tour last week, so i will be on it.
25/f from the seattle area. traveling solo, yet again.
after this tour, i fly straight to berlin and do the 'eastern road' tour.
this one will be my third contiki tour.
new zealand & egypt before!

I'm a 24/f from South Florida and I just booked this tour. I'm probably traveling alone, but I have the option to stay in Spain until June 7th. I'm wondering if there are other people interested in staying and traveling to places we didn't get to see on the tour or just to spend more time in places we enjoyed. Is everyone planning on flying into Barcelona and out of Ibiza? My best options are to fly in and out of Madrid, but I know it would be tough to get to Barcelona on the day the tour begins. Any thoughts? I look forward to meeting all of you!

Hi everyone! I'm so glad I found this thread. I'm also going to be on this trip solo (28 yrs old/ Female from Los Angeles). This is my second Contiki tour but first time going by myself so I'm kinda glad there are plenty of us in the same boat. Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hey I'm seriously considering taking this trip. I booked my flight a couple of days ago and will be in Barcelona in early May, so this trip fit perfectly. I'm also going on my own, so hopefully we have a fun crew next month!

I'm excited there are so many other singles! I'm going solo and spending an extra night in Ibiza before heading to Cairo for Egypt & Nile and then Turkish Delight.

nice! i did the egypt trip last october and loved it. it is a totally different experience, but definately worth it. i actually kind of miss egypt. the tour manager, sharif, is pretty awesome as well. very helpful.

Hey guys!
Two weeks from today I'll be on my way to Spain! I'm so excited and really looking forward to meeting all of you. I'm flying into the Barcelona airport (BCN) on May 18th at 9:00am. I'm wondering if anyone else is flying in around that time and if anyone has made decisions or done research on how they plan to get from the airport to the hotel. I'm sure I'll be fine on my own, but if anyone wants to share their plans it would help me out!

Hi Fellow Contikers!

I too am on this tour..going solo. I just purchased my tickets today. I'm 25 from NJ. It's my 2nd contiki tour...2 years ago I went on the simply italy tour which was fabulous!!! I am staying one more night in Ibiza at the same hotel...Hopefully some of you will want to continue to party in Ibiza! Question: Do any of you know if there is good phone reception in Spain??

in the documents it gives two ways to get to the hotel --

either taxi directly to the hotel which is FORTY EUROS (eeek!!)

OR

take a train from the airport to Sants-Estacio Station. From there take a taxi to the hotel for around TEN EUROS (much better!!)


i'm doing the second one. any chance i can save money, i'm trying. and i doubt taking the train is difficult.

i can't believe i leave in 12 days! wow! can't wait to meet you all.
