Hi Jackie! Should be a great trip and yes DRINKS will be had by all! Are you going anywhere else besides Spain?

Jessica - Paul & I haven't looked into anything else yet. What are your recommendations? Maybe we all could buy a box of tomatoes and create our own La Tomatina!

Actually what optionals are available ? I think Flamingo dancing is on the menu? Wanna dance?

Johnny

Hey Boys,

So it turns out me and jackie will be going to turkey and doing a tour together right after as well.

As for optionals, yes theres dancing so you boys better not have 2 left feet, theres also 2 dinners, one included with the dancing, a couple guided tours and a group photo. from my experience all the optionals are amazing. As for what else to do well dont worry with me around i always find something interesting especially if your into weird and different stuff.

So what d you boys have planned directly after the tour??? stay in ibiza an extra day, going to barcelona, or directly off to another country?
Im looking at going to andorra (the small country next to spain and france) for a day on oct 10. figured y not its there.

ps as for the tomato fight, ill be there with a white t-shirt on LOL.

I just had a friend come back from this exact tour (he was on the 1st one for the year so it could be similar to ours being the last)- i didnt even know he was doing this tour! and he has advised heavily not to take either of the options. He told me to avoid the dancing and meet the tour straight at the night club afterwards. It was painfully boring. He also said for the 45 euros the dinner cost - all u get is a lump of meat. He advised to walk to one of the back alley pubs where u can get beers for 1 euro and they give u free tapas - I have the bars details. Apparently Baraclona will be the highlight for nightlife and Madrid will be a little disappointing (nite life terms) and so he said drink hard early as the middle of the week will slow down. I have the whole run down, directions and suggestions, including some pretty good bars - I think the girls all have to get a monica lewinski from one of the bars... apparently I will be able to get behind and make a few drinks aswell (not sure of the name here but have the details..)

After the tour, we go straight to Ireland for a Paddy Wagon tour then to Germany for a top deck tour Eatern Europe Escape... so Hot Buns and I are pretty booked up...

did someone say we miss out on Gibraltar?? my mate said this was the best! Cheap, monkeys, drink, etc etc - he told me do not miss out on!

Its always nice to hear from people who have just taken the same tour. as for not doing the optionals Im so cool with that on one of my tours we didnt do one of the dinners and found our own place, which the experience was horrible (bad service, stale wine, bad food) but in the end it will definity be a great story and we always remember it. plus on nights when nightlife sucks we just have to rope the hole gang together and have our own fiesta. I started a toga party in paris when we had t stay at an out of town hotel and all we had for booze was straigh vodka(no mix) it was amazing.

Oh a friend of mine was in Ibiza a couple years ago and say the clubs are soooo expensive not only to drink but also to get in. i hope contiki hooks us up at some cool cheaper places. and we will definity have to pre drink.

How said we miss gibaltar?? thats a huge part of the tour. it would suck to miss it.

I'm so tempted to take this tour. I've actually been to Barcelona in January this year and I would love to do the rest of Spain too!

Barcelona is amazing, I could do it again and again!

I didn't have the time to visit the Dali place the last time and would love to go! Who's coming from Singapore? That's where I'm from.

Howdy all!

I think its time to talk about what clothes to pack. I'm guessing the weather won't be cold, but it won't be hot either? Can anyone confirm? Also is anyone taking a digital SLR camera? I'll have mine, can't wait to take heaps of great shots.

hello all; I'm likely to book this tour soon but wanted to know if any one was going to go a day or so early and or stay a day or so later in Ibiza? Also, any advice or guidance regarding getting back to Barcelona/Madrid for the trip home?

Thanks

Braxton

Hey all

This is Mel from Perth - Contiki virgin and very excited about jetsetting overseas for the first time ever.

I'll be taking my digital SLR, want good quality memories to take home. I think it's still quite warm up until late october but probably not really by Aus standards (anything below 22 is cold to me), thought there's probably quite a bit of difference between the coastal cities and the inland which is quite high. If all else fails a fave jacket and a few shots of vodka should do the trick!

I'm flying from Ibiza to Barcelona on the 9th on Clickair, it's pretty cheap. You can look up flights on www.skyscanner.net. Anyone doing the same sort of thing. I'll be in Barcelona on the night of the 9th til the arvo on the 10th...?

Hi Braxton & Mel!

Paul & I will be in Barcelona a day before the trip starts. If anyone is in Barcelona early let us know, would love to meet up.

Mel - fellow photographer! Would love to see your shots. And I love your idea of vodka shots. Thanks for the weather tip. Looks like I have to pack for all conditions as we would be in eastern europe at end of October. And btw 22 degrees is not cold, its pleasant Wink

I think I am going to come in the day before as well, but probably not until the afternoon it looks like. I will likely just book a room at the same hotel where the tour starts, are you doing the same? What about Ibiza? anyone staying a day later as well?

Mel: thanks for the advice regarding skyscanner, those rates are much better than what I found, I hope you are not on the 8:05? that's really early.

Hi Braxton,
No No, Don't know what to expect of the last night in Ibiza so I've given myself until midday. Glad you found the site useful.

Hey Johnny, Parc Guell is really close to the hotel in Barcelona - good for photos I've read.

Less than 5 weeks to go... But who's counting...
um, ME!!!
