I went on the grand southern in june (summer) and its was the best time of my life. GO VEGAS Met a bunch of awesome people which will keep in touch with all of them but only 4 people on the tour wernt australian. We also managed to be at the space centre on the day of the shuttle launch which was a trip highlight. The launch was also on the 4th of july so it made for a massive night, so much fun... Highly recomend the trip to anyone, worth every cent that you spend and for anyone wondering about going solo, its the best way to go.. Nath

hey i can see this was posted awhile ago now but I am planning on doing the grand southern in early to mid 2009 and am so stoked to see lots of aussies do it, that people have fun and that lots of people do it alone! I am solo traveller as well and it seems a bit scary but will be worth the pay off i hope!!
