Hey guys,

I literally got back a week ago from a wild western tour, i had the time off my life, so i definately recommend that you do it. If anyone has any questions, i can try and answer them. My tour also covered western highlights, la to the bay and california highlights.

Hi Corrine

If you had to do it over again, is there anything you would do different? Would you have taken sometime else, not done an option, spent more time on things?

I'd love to know your thoughts, I'm going mid November on this tour and can't wait.

Oh good, i really am not sure. I probably wouldnt have taken so many clothes with me, my suitcase was practically full when i left England, and I had to get rid off a few souvenirs before i flew home which i was a bit gutted about.
I made the most of my days and didn't go crazy in the evenings drinking or anything, still had a brilliant time and made friends, but kind of wish i went out a bit more and socialised. At the same time, i never got ill.
I'd say sign up to every optional you want to do, and don't be swayed by the people you spend the most time with, just do what you came to do.
Definately do the hot air balloon ride and helicopter ride, even though there are expensive!!

Anything else i've missed? If you wanna know anything else, just ask!

And did you do the hot air ballon ride? I'm not a fan of heights but want to know if it is something not to miss!

I did the 45min option. To get from the airport u have to over a vast amount of trees so about 5-10mins is used on that, so if u really wanna see a great deal of the canyon, do the longer one, but if you're happy with one area than stick to the 30mins ride.

I did do the hot air balloon ride. It was one thing i was really not sure about doing before i went away, but when i got there i thought, im gonna do it, cause i may never get the chance again. It was really hot when i went so i was absolutely sweltering, but depends what time of year u go, and it might be cooler. Also, wear a hat if poss, cause my head was a bit sore after. But don't let that put u off.

Hi Corinne

A couple of us on the Wild Western leaving next week (whoohoo) are wondering which day to go to alcatraz (day 11 or 12) because it does talk about a morning trip to the baseball field and sightseeing so we dont want to book for when that is happening. Also are any of the optional extras on at that time (around 9.30 on day 11 or 12).
Thank you
Amanda

I did the WW in Feb 09 and did the hot air balloon and it was amazing - if you have never been in a hot air balloon i recommend doing it and we got a nice little brekfast after.

I also did the baseball tour and to be honest, if you are not a die hard baseball fan I would skip it. It was good to see the park as so close to water but apart from that it was a little boring.

Hey, sorry im a bit late in repying, so you've probably already been on your trip! The morning trip to the baseball field was the morning of Day 11, but if we didn't want to go then or had Alcatraz booked then we could get vouchers to go anytime, but we'd just have to make our own way there. On day 12 was the wine tour, and that started early in the morning, and they also had the bike and roll around 12.30 on both days. Lots of flexibility really so you should be able to fit it all in.

Your welcome Lauren, you're tour was fantastic, I really want to do another, Im just a little scared they won't be as good as yours!!! We shall see. Hope you're well. xx
