just finished the grand northern and it was the best holidy i've ever had...just wanna say thanks to jordan our tour manager...you made the trip so much better..thanks.and to everyone on the trip,thanks for being so cool..you rock

Hi Guys
I am about to go on this tour in afew weeks time I just have a few questions to ask 1. where all the activities worth doing? and is there any I should skip? 2. Did u go out every night? 3. where u on the bus for long periods of time? Thanks Priscilla |

Personally I didn't think they were all worth doing, but if in doubt its best to do them and regret it than NOT do it and regret it.
The white water rafting had no RAPIDS, but was fun becasue we had fights with the other 2 rafts (that were from our group). The 2 cruises were good and pretty cheap from memory. The helicopter ride over the Niagara Falls was great, only went for about 10 minutes, but I think well worth it. The Helicopter ride over Grand Canyon was amazing, but very expensive. I figured I was only going to waste that money on something else, and I might not ever be back there either. CN tower in Toronto was good. Jet Boating in Montreal was great. Can't remember other optionals at this time. We didn't go out every night, especially in the 2nd half of the trip - there is no where to go - but plenty of room parties. At least one big night in all the cities though. Boston, Quebec City(awesome), Montreal, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Cleveland, Chicago - Good Bars/Nightclubs. Deadwood is awesome - we had 2 massive nights there. Then it is a little quiet until Vegas, and not much sleep is had there. A good mix of big nights and then quiet nights or room parties if you are keen. We were on the bus for 8 hours(roughly) only twice. Some days only a few hours. We did go all the way across the country, so have to expect some driving days - but these are good fpr sleeping, or just annoying people. Hope that helps. |

i was looking at the grand northern tour and it sounds amazing! i think i read on one of the tours you travel everywhere by plane, is that the case with the grand northern tour, or is it all driving? im trying to think of which tour to go on they all seem great! did you end up spending a lot of money on the tour? im just trying to think of how much money to save up  thanks! dani |

I Done the GN last year in June/July it was awsome. I spend $80 a day AUS roughly. yes u do spend some time on the bus but u have breaks in between. No didnt go on a plain while on that tour I think u are thinking of the Grand Candian tour, I highly recomend the tour. Kind Regards Priscilla |

Thankyou so much for your reply!! i am so looking forward to going overseas on the tour! i have been reading the messages people have been posting about the tours and a lot of people have been saying that the GN tour is awesome, so i might definately consider that one!!

I am thinking of going on the Grand Northern maybe June 09 (I need to save up my money !) but I will be travelling by myself...would that be a bad idea? I just think I would be able to mingle with everyone and make new friends. I would hate to be left out... ***London & Paris 8th August 2009***then onto Toronto, Eastern Canada and New York woohoooo*** |

hey kerri-allen, ive just booked the tour yesterday for the june dates 09 and im travelling by myself. Im a bit concerned about it but had no choice due to friends and family having to work but by the sounds of it, everyone has fun and if they involve you in group nights out then it should be fun to mix with other people,

Kerri-Ellen I'm doing the Grand Northern in June and am going alone ... it seems like there's a few of us so I really wouldn't be concerned about going alone.
