I am going on the Grand Adventure trip shortly and want to pick up a HIGH quality Jade pendant and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to get one. I am looking for NZ Jade not import and hand made. I have surfed google, but would like to see what you all think.

There is a 1 hr stop somewhere between Rotorua & Taupo that stops at a very large jade factory. Your TM can provide more information.

We stopped at a place in Hokitika between Christchurch and Franz Josef. It was huge, and authentic jade. They sell all sorts of jade, so just make sure you read the labels and get the NZ type.

Just wanted to let you know there is a trademark that was started in NZ to show what is authentic NZ Moari arts and crafts etc. Its called Toi Iho and different artists have to apply to be able to use this on their products so that buyers know it is NZ made and made by Maori crafters.
