Hey everyone. Daniel 22yrs form Perth WA
I'm new to the Contiki scene. I was just curious on people’s thoughts on Portable audio and hand held devises. Would you bother taking these on your trip, or would they be a distraction in the way that they would make you a bit unsociable as people wouldn’t really talk to you if you got things in your ears and you may miss out on something because you’re too distracted on watching a movie? And are they a target of theft? Cheers. |

hey dan.
yeah take an ipod and various other things to keep you amused because you do spend alot of time in the bus and sometimes they dont put the dvd player on. also after a hard nights partying everyone falls asleep on the bus and you have to have ways of amusing yourself. unsociable no way |

I would suggest you leave all that junk at home. You don't travel halfway across the world to be stuck on your ippod. There will be people to talk to, sights to see, and music is often playing on the bus. Be social, and if you're really bored, you might as well bring a book. Leave your ipod/dvd player at home. you might even lose it on vacation.

Take the ipod, i'm taking mine for on the plane and there are times on the bus when you just want to chill out and it helps if you want to have a nap which happens alot. On my europe tour there were stages when there were only 4 people awake on the bus.
