Hi Kylee, you should get into most places contiki takes you in Jeans and a nice top. Thats what I see when I go out, some girls wear a dress but the dress code isn't that bad.

When ever I go out I wear a nice pair of black dress shoes just to be safe. Thats one thing bouncers sometimes have a go over, oh they sometimes don't like ripped jeans too.

girls can get away with pretty much anything at clubs (bouncers tend to want to get more girls then guys to attract more ppl sorta thing) so jeans and a nice top if you wanna play safe

a big thing for guys is shoes, some places will allow sneakers other places won't but like Pervy for guys they should prolly take a nice dress shoe (safe side colour black) and you should be fine with jeans and a nice shirt.

i've had friends who haven't had dress shoes and some who have in our group so the guys who did got in then took their shoes off to give to one of the girls in our groups to give to the guys outside still in the sneakers to get into the club . . .

Hey there, just to add my bit in: For guys it's safe bet to have a collar on (shirt / polo) and black dress shoes

Girls are usually fine, jeans are generally accepted everywhere as long as they are tidy Smiler And if you go to Wellington be sure to hit the new bar Temperence, it's great

This may sound a little unusual but I would suggest packing in a suit if you have one just in case.Yes I know Contiki Is Not P&O with their formal nights on the Cruise Ships but best be prepared.

... I would suggesting NOT packing a suit. Dead weight taking up space. You'll be the only one to ever wear one on your tour most likely.

The only place I didn't wear jeans was Wellington. I'm not a "slut-it up" dresser so almost always I just wore what i wore all day - sweatshirts/jeans/Merrels. A lot of the girls wore their slut shirts out, but w/ jeans. Almost all of the stops are in rinky dink towns - so if you dress up like you're in a metro area the locals will probably laugh.
The guy who said bring a suit - he's just nuts!

There are coat checks at the bars we hit in Queenstown - couple buck to check. I suggest trying to bear being outside w/out a coat - it really is a pain in the bar -even w/ coat check
