Hey anyone who's thinking about going on this trip in mid march of 2008! I'm planning on going on this trip next year but I'm probably going solo and I'm only 18. I was just wondering if there were some other young people going solo on this one! I heard it was mostly older people on these shorter trips? (I'm also planning on Check Out London before hand!)

Hey Annie (and everyone else) Smiler
I'm looking into tours at the moment for similar dates. Not sure which tour I want to do but am looking at the Mediterranean Highlights or London to paris and rome or london to rome....its so hard to pick! If anyone has any thoughts please let me know
I'm 21 myself and think I may be going alone too. It scarey but should be good.
What sort of weather will it be around march? do u think its too cold to enjoy?
thanks for any input
xox happy travels

Hey Melissa! The weather was my big concern too. I was kind of hoping that b/c they are such sunny climates they would still be fairly warm. I don't think we're going to be able to walk around in shorts and t-shirts but a light sweater might do the trick. I don't think I'll mind having to wear sweaters very much (except that it will cut down on the amount of clothing I can bring!) I hope you're able to make your decision! Where are you from by the way?
good luck! Annie

Hey Melissa, I really can't wait to book this tour. I've been looking at it for weeks and the more I look into it the more I love the idea of it! I've been to Europe before but this is the part of it that I've always wanted to see so it's a perfect tour for me I think. I'm from Ontario, Canada.

YAY!
yeah i think this tour will be a good starting point because it doesn't seem quite as fast as some of the others.
How long are you planning on being in europe for, or are you just doing the contiki?
I need to find out from work how long i can have off before I can really plan the trip...sooooo annoying - but i should know within a month...i hope!!

HEY! After the mediterranean hightlights trip I'm hoping to do Check Out London for five days and then I might have some family going out to Scotland so I'd probably join them there. Those plans could change though. I would like to stay in Europe longer but I just don't think I'll be able to save up the money for it. Time isn't an issue for me because I have 2 months off of work and school!

Hey! I just booked a couple Contiki Tours: Med. Highlights starting March 14, and after that Check Out London starting on the 28 of March. When that's over it's time for Scotland with family for another 10 days! I'm so excited!! Anyone else going/ planning for these dates? I'd love to hear from you!

Hi! I've booked the Med. Highlights tour starting March 14 too! I originally planned on just exploring the Mediterranean on my own, but once I saw this tour I thought it sounded perfect for me and then afterwards I can head over to Greece...I know no one can predict the weather, but I'm hoping to survive with light sweaters...By the way I'm 25 and live/am from California. I look forward to meeting you guys!

Hey Nikki! You're the first person I've found who's going on the same tour as me! Did you book the trip to Greece afterwards through Contiki or are you just going to backpack it? I can't wait to go on this tour!

Hi Annie! I haven't really booked anything for Greece, except the return flight home. I'm kind of hoping to just wing it, but with a suitcase rather than a backpack, haha. I think the tour is going to be an awesome way to meet fellow travelers. Where are you from?

Sounds like a good plan, Greece is somewhere that I definately want to go, maybe on another trip.... I'm from Ontario, Canada. I'm sure that you're having much nicer weather in California than here right now! Wish I was there instead!

Hi Anni! I came on here to post a bulletin board saying exactly that!! Haha. I'm 20 and I've never been on a Contiki tour, but I recently came into some money and am wanting to spend it SOLELY on travelling. But UNFORTUNATELY, none of my friends also came into some money Frowner LOL so im stuck with no one to go with and everyone kept saying that contiki was a great place for young single travellers to go on tours around Europe.

I'm currently in Las Vegas (I'm American) but I will be living in Europe for 7 months starting in January and I am really wanting to go on this tour. I've been to Italy and France, but not Pisa or Florence, or the French Riviera!

I'm thinking about doing the tour that leaves on March 14th...getting back just before my birthday on April 1 Smiler Keep updating and let me know if you decide to go and I will do the same!
