Hey everyone,

I've finally decided on the Med H'lights (reverse) starting in Italy...yay!  Now I just have to decide on a date.  This is my first contiki trip, in fact this will be my first trip alone to anywhere, so I'm kind of nervous.  I want to go with a decent size group so I'm wondering what date you think would be best, Aug 20th or Sept 3rd?  Any input would be much appreicated!  So if anyone is going any of these dates and you like to party, let me know

My hubby and I are going on the touring starting August 21st from Rome (I am assuming it is the same one as yours but the date I have is Monday 21st August commencing in Rome.  Are you talking about the date you leave Canada?).  This will be my 2nd Contiki and my husbands first.  Not sure which is likely to be the bigger group, though maybe the tour starting August 21st (or 20th for you) as this is a guaranteed start date while the one on the September 3rd is not necessarily guaranteed. 
Which ever tour you decide to do I am sure you will meet some fantastic people and have an absolute ball!  Hope to see you on our tour though.

I've on doing the tour starting from Rome, as September the 4th.  I've been on a european contiki 8 years ago and had the time of my life.  I am hoping that this experience will be equally as good.

I am from Melbourne Australia and will be doing the tour solo.

I've just had my Med H'lights (reverse) tour confirmed (starting in Rome 20th Aug). This is unfortunately the best I could get as the tour starting a week earlier was cancelled. I get to Rome on the 16th and hope to do a bit on my own. Would be great to hear from anyone getting there early as well...

This tour should be fantastic - cant wait to get there. Doing the tour solo as well but meeting up with my sister in Spain.

Hi Everyone,

My boyfriend and I are doing Med Highlights staring in Rome Aug 20 (Monday) and will be arriving a couple of days prior.

Any suggestions where to stay, i will have to a look through my documentation and may stay in the same place as Contiki selects to make life easier.

When we arrive at Rome airport a coule days before we are going to catch the train as taxis' are very expensive and if you arrive a couple days prior, you are not legible for shuttle service :-(

We will also have a week in Spain when it finishes, but won't be going straight onto Madid with the group as we want to spend extra time sea side and thought this would be best doing so from Barcelona.

Any helpful hints would be great??? !
