I too will be on the same tour - My name is Daniela and from Canada - therefore my tour begins July 2 instead of the 3rd.

There are also I few others that are on this tour - i also set up a forum under sweetiedanie Med Highlights July 2-15th - check it out.

This is my first contiki tour and extremely excitied...is thie your first contiki tour as well?

The tour either leaves on the 1st or the 3rd July...none leave on the 2nd... my friend and i are on the 3rd...

Yep its my first contiki! My sisters went last year and have warned me of the EARLY mornings and packing light as there as you need to lug around your own luggage!

I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED!

Everyone at my work is sick of my count down until i leave!

Its going to be a blast!!!!

Me too - my work is also getting sick of me counting down the days...

You mentioned that your sisters recommend to pack light - how light exactly...this is becoming a difficult task for me to decided what to bring and outfits can mix and match...

They said that you tend to find your comfort clothes and wear them to death, you dont really care if you wore something the day before, if its comfy you will wear it!

I have brought singlets, shorts and thongs (not sure if you have havaianna thongs in canada). Im only taking 1 pair of jeans (ones that can be worn rolled up or down) and probably two pairs of high shoes. When you go out in europe (especially greece if your going there) they are not that dressy.
 
They pretty much said that you buy so much along the way that you tend to wear the new clothes not the ones you brought! If my suitcase is more than half full im taking too much!  

I say that now, its going to be quite painful when i start packing!

The whole trip has become such a reality once i read and replied to you guys!

Its so exciting ! ! So many funny memories to make! !

hey hey heyyyyyyyy gals.....another day down!!!

i'm with you josie.... singlets, shorts, skirts, one maybe 2 jeans....a couple of dresses (casual ones) a cardi (just in case) and the havianas...and other flatty's .... i'll take a few night dress up combinations.....but not too dressy.......BUT as you said when i actually start packing i'm sure i'll throw in a whole lot more here and there....

hey, if we get that comfortable with eachother we'll just start sharing clothes....haha....

Yes.....another day down but so many to go!

Vicky turns 27 whilst we are on tour (i think we are in florence on her bday - 13 July) and i am 24 in August!

I say i wont bring alot of stuff BUT i will end up filling the whole suitcase i will have to sit on it to shut it! A good pointer from my brother was to take a carry bag which can be flat in your suitcase and once your off the tour you can put any excess stuff in there!

I have actually started locking the new stuff i have brought in my suitcase so that i dont wear them! but to also keep my two sisters away from the stuff!

Better pretend to do some work......

Vicky says you guys are off to the amalfi afterwards???? i'll be going straight down south in italy from Rome....heading to Sicily and Amalfi after about a week in Calabria!
