Great to hear you have decided to go with the tour departing Rome on the 21st August!  I can't believe it is now under 4 months away!  We booked ages ago and suddenly it is only around the corner.  Am really excited!

Hey there!! (Hello again to Mon and Kendall),

2 and a bit months to go and I'm starting to get excited by it all. I've just finalised my travel plans for August and can't wait to meet everyone.

I get to Rome a few days early as I had actually planned to go on the tour starting a few days earlier. But more importantly I have a few days up my sleeve in Spain at the end of the tour. Is anyone planning to stick around in Madrid? I unfortunately booked flights to Valencia for La Tomatina (The tomato fight festival) on the 30th of Aug so miss out on part of the tour. I am still trying to work out a way to join up with the rest of the group on the 31st or 1st of Sep.

Do any of you have any ideas about what you are doing during the free time we have up our sleeves? Would love to hear from anyone who has done it before or have some plans already.

This tour should be fantastic - can't wait to get there. Doing the tour solo, so hoping to chat to you all before I get there...

i'm trying to work this trip into my schedule.  This will be my 2nd Contiki trip; i did Euro. Discovery last year. had a great time.  I hope that i can book this trip this year so we can chat more.

Hi Everyone, My boyfriend and i are doing the med highlights tour leaving Rome, we will be there a couple days prior to the tour starting. we will also have a week at the end of the trip in Spain/Madrid also looking for ideas on what to do. I was thinking of staying on in Barcelona for a few extra nights before making our way to Madrid? This will be my first ever overseas trip!!!
