Trying to decide between the two. If anyone has done one or both and has any advice it would be appreciated. Looking to go in July possibly. Just got back from the London, Paris, Amsterdam tour and it was good but a lot of traveling between cities that I'd like to avoid next time.

hope my advice will still help ( i havent been on either, but am booked in for medi hightlights departing 2nd july)- i guess it all comes down to how much of europe you want to see. simply Italy- you spend 11 days in Italy alone, where as medi highlights you will visit Rome, Florence, Nice, Barcelona and Madrid and the trip is a couple days longer. This appealed to me more because it exposes me to a little more europe and a few more places i can go back and visit in the future.
good luck- the trip will be fun regardless of what you decide! |

I did Simply Italy a few summers ago and it was really good. There were only a few days that were spent mostly on the bus. It was nice to see a lot of Italy and all the places were really interesting. I am going on Mediterranean Highlights this summer with friends who haven't been to Europe before. I am excited to do this tour because it goes to my favourite places in Italy - Florence and Rome. I guess I'll have to wait until after Med. Highlights to really know... but I would totally recommend Simply Italy over a tour covering more area. Reply back if you have any questions for me!

Thanks for the advice. Booked the Simply Italy trip for May 27-June 8, 2007. Also considering the Med Highlights tour this summer as I really want to go to some beach towns. What do you think of Spanish Spree vs Med. Higlights? Ibiza is of interest but so is Monaco and the French Riviera. Too many choices!! Help! Thanks in advance
