Hi Emmie, i'm looking at getting into Anaheim on the 24th. There are about 9 of us booked for this tour so far.Most of our posts are in the General North America Meeting Place (non tour specific)section under the topic Grand Southern and Grand Northern in 2009. We have a facebook group going as well.

Hey CJ, im only doing the GS but am prob going back to vegas for a few extra nights and to L.A again for a couple too, not sure how long in New York after to tour. Staying at Stovalls too. Plane gets in at about 1:30pm on the 26th.

My first Contiki and trip alone guys... freakin a little but it will be sweet!

Emmie - It is my first Contiki and I am travelling on my own as well... but as you can see from these threads and the facebook page we will all be friends before we get there!!! It makes the thought of going on your own less scary...

Hey Melanie when I went to Hawaii I didn't do much of anything. Did walk around a little and did some shopping. I did drink a few beers.MattM has been to hawaii too and I think he did tours while there. I do know he went to Pearl harbour.There were lots of people on the streets handing out flyers for trips and the hotel I stayed at had a tour desk.
Hey Emmie I was doing this tour alone but wasn't worried at all as i've done a few other contiki trips and know that all the people who have gone on them alone have had a good time and made friends. Only problem is if you get a room mate who can fall asleep as soon as thier head hits the pillow and starts to snore, aye Matt. Or puts you last can of beer in the freezer not the fridge just before you go out then when you open it it goes everywhere.

when in Hawaii the hotel had a tours desk that you could book day trips the night before you wanted to go on them so you could choose between 6 to 8 different full or half day trips around the island. but if you go to pearl harbour make sure you get there when the gates open because if you don't get on the first tour you have to wait at a very small museum for about 3 hours before you get to go to the boats.
And Paul at least you couldn't complain that the beer was warm

Yeah it was cold but it's no fun sucking it out of the carpet.
