I'm looking at doing the Grand Southern departing July 7th. Anyone else looking at doing this tour. I did the Grand Northern this year and had a fantastic time, now want to see the rest of the country and do the same.

I'm looking at doing the 30th June 2007 Grand Southern tour as it fits in better with school holidays, and I'm a teacher. You should come on this one, I've already chatted to a few people looking at going on this tour, so should be awesome! Think about it anyway

Nice to hear from someone else doing this tour. Yes, I'm travelling on my own, can never get my friends interested in going. I'm from just north of Adelaide. This your first time travelling with contiki?

Yup this would be our first time. My friend Niesh and I are doing this tour first and then going onto Europe to do the European Adventurer for 36 days. I've never been to the states but Niesh has, she went for a month last year!
I know what you mean trying to get your friends travelling, Niesh and I are the only ones in our group thats remotley interested in travelling. So what flight are you on to LA? We arrrive on the 2nd July. We thought we would get over the Jetlag first before starting the trip.

Going on to Europe after doing this trip sounds great, wish I had the money and time to do that. I'm getting into LA on the 5th of July. So just a couple of days before the tour starts. Then I'm spending four days in New York after the tour finishes before going home.

Hey al, Im 22 and from England - I've spent the last 10 months in San Diego on an internship program. Ill be traveling by myself. I'm moving back to London after staying in New York for a week after the tour. So it looks like theres 5 or so of us so far going on July 7th on these boards?

Looks like it at the moment. Hopefully a few more people come and say hello as the tour gets closer. Are you staying at the Beacon in New York? I'm staying there for four nights after the tour.
