just saw your post, ive been waiting for april 09 dates to come up for ages...i think me and a mate are planning for the 2nd aswell. I did contiki europe and it was awesome, so i want to get amoungst america!

My friend and I are thinking of going on the 2nd of April too! We are 21 and 22 from Brisbane. It will be our first contiki trip and we were thinking of staying in LA and Ny longer before and after the trip. Are any of you going to be doing the same thing?

hey all, i'm thinking about doing this tour on the 2nd April. I have done a few contiki tours before and have had an absolute ball on all of them. I went to the US 2 years ago in June/July and the weather was beautiful, so i'm just wondering whether to go a bit later. I absolutely love NYC and would be staying on probably for another 2 weeks after the tour ended.

Hey Tania,

When I was there before I stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Tribeca, it was basic but really quite nice and in a nice area. I will definetly look at staying there again. It cost about $10 to get to Times Square and Central Park in a cab, so not bad.

10 days and you'll still be flat out, there's so much to do!

My friend and I have now booked the Grand Southern tour for April 2nd and we are so excited!

We are going to be stopping over in Hawaii on the way over then staying in the Hi Hostel in New York. My friend just came back from the US and she stayed in this hostel and said it was really good, and it is just around the corner from the Mariketch hotel where we get dropped off!

So the plans are well and truly underway for next year! I look forward to meeting everyone on the trip :-)

I am interested in doing some other tours. I haven't booked my room yet but I will be staying at either the New York City Airport Hotel or if I hit the lotto, a New York Luxury Hotel. Let me know when and what you are interested in touring and we can get something together.
