Hey there my friend and i are looking at Starting the tour either June 11th or 18th depending on how many replies we get to our post so we can book the perfect date..... we are going to be spending time in San fransisco and LA before the tour and spending some time in NY after the tour we have decided to cut costs and tour around ourselves rather then book two other contiki tours if anyone else interested by all means please let us know and we can work together organising where to go and what to do

Hey Kirstylee 1984 I am just awaiting confirmation from travel agent in regards to the 11 June 2009 Grand Southern. I am flying solo on this trip and am also planning to do the Wild Western before hand (May 27- June 9) and then the NY explorer (July 7-July 10) and then fly back to LA and then do the LA Explorer (July 11- July 14). Pretty full on trip but don't know when I'd get to do it again so here's to hoping. So good luck with the planning I'll keep on checking your post to see what tour you choose.

Im all booked on the Grand Southern on the 11th June next year so would love to get to know people that are also doin this tour as im travelling alone. Im also staying on to do the New York explorer straight after the Grand Southern.

That was what my plan is for the tours- booking in for the 11 June 2009 and then to stay on for the NY Explorer straight after. As like you Kristy I am travelling alone. I am doing the Wild Western tour just before the Grand Southern and then when the NY Explorer finishes I am flying back to LA to go on the LA Explorer. So its great to know that there is someone else with the same kinda plan

Hey Hey everyone i have finally booked im on the Grand Southern starting on June 18th woop woop so excited. My friend and i will be touring around LA before the tour and New york after the tour. We are then flying to San fran for a few days then flying back to Australia

Thats awesome news. I booked all four of my tours a few weeks back- paid deposits and have got my airfare, accommodation and and insurance all taken care of. So now is the waiting game Nice to hear that someone else is planning this tour as well. Kristylee are you doing NY by yourself with your friend or are you just doing your own thing?

For anyone going on the Grand Southern tour starting the 11 June 2009, we will be in Washington D.C on the 4th July for Independence Day- how exciting is that!!!! It should definitely make for an interesting part of the tour

hey, am a fellow aussie doing the Southern Adventure tour which is part of yours but it cuts off at New Orleans, am flying in on the 13th and doing 3 nites in LA then 2 in Anaheim before tour begins and a week in Vegas when it ends then finally back to our aussie winter

That's awesome. Have paid fully now for all my tours and are counting down the days (and hours) till I leave. Just have to save some extra $$$ to have an even more awesome time. Look forward to meeting you all
