im doing the GS on the 31st and will be going on this tour by myself jus wondering if theres anyone else on this tour who will be doing it solo as well this will be my FIRST time ever nervous and excited at the same tym...also anyone else who is doin this tour if you are travelling in a group. im 21 Female and from New Zealand

I'll be on this tour with a mate of mine!

This will be my first Contiki as well, not to mention my first time overseas since 1990!

We'll be staying in NY for two nights before the tour starts to take in the sights there. When do you arrive?

I can imagine you'd be nervous, I'm sure I would be if i was going alone as well! Going by what I've read, quite a lot of people go solo, so don't worry - half the bus (if not more!) will be travelling on their own. I'm sure most of us will be good mates by the end though!

thought i would bump the thread back up to the top and thought i had better get in and say hello! i'm the other guy going from darwin. this will be my second contiki and second time in the states, i was on the wild western in april and had a ball!! it was the best trip i have ever been on, so i'm looking forward to getting back over there and going back to vegas to party some more!!! cheers Daz

Anyone planning on being in new york say 2 days before? and also im planning on doing disneyland say the day after the tour ends.

Hey hey! My mate & I will be getting into NY on Tuesday 28th Oct. We'll be staying at the Marrakech (the "bed bugs" one). I asked others who've stayed there & they said it isn't as bad as it seems. Fingers crossed eh!

We will also be doing Disneyland the day after we get to LA & then Universal Studios the day after that!

When does everyone get into NY?

Hi once again! I just booked a room at the best western Anaheim inn directly across from Disneyland. The only room available has 2 queen size beds in it, I was just going to offer the extra space to anyone that wants it and we could split the cost.

This place is a little more expensive but I liked it's location and it has a tour desk to book tours and a shuttle that runs to the airport.
