Just looking for someone else doing the above tour. It'll be my first time overseas and I'm going by myself, I am very nervous. I am planning extra days before and after the trip in LA and NY. Anyone doing the same??

Hey there Jenn,

Yep me and a mate are looking to book the Grand Southern for the 6th of May aswell.

Were heading from Perth, and are spending another two and a half weeks after the tour finishes to have a look around New York and some Canada.

Heard rave reviews aswell.

My name is Alissa and I am 24 and live in Townsville in North QLD.

I am also booked on the Grand Southen Tour leaving LA on 6th May.
I am arriving in LA on 3rd May, I have planned one tour for one day but that is all.
I will be staying in NYC for a couple of weeks after the tour with no real plans as yet, I may even look at doing the Contiki NYC explorer.
I am flying out of Brisbane on 3rd May.
I am travelling by myself and this is my first real trip on my own so I am also getting anxious and excited.
I am not sure where I am staying when in LA at this stage. I will definitely spend the night prior to leaving (5th May) at the contiki hotel, hopefully to catch up with a few people doing the tour.

I will now be travelling on this tour. Just got word that the 20th May Scheduled start has been cancelled so I have decided to join the 6th May tour. I am from Melbourne and will be travelling solo for the first time, have done a Contiki tour of Europe with a friend back in 2003.
I will arrive the day before the tour and have also booked the Big Apple Explorer following the Grand Southern but leaving straight after that.

My name is Sheree and I'm meeting up with you guys in New Orleans to do the Eastern discovery part of the trip.  Like Allison I was originally on the May 20 departure but since that got cancelled I have had to split the tour into the two smaller tours to fit in with my itineray.  I am also do the Big Apple Explorer when we get to New York.

I'm 29 from Melbourne and travelling solo, have done a contiki Europe 4 years ago but that was with a friend.

Now that all the planning is out of the way I'm getting excited.

My Girlfriend and I are going on the Southern Adventure tour starting on the 6th May and finishing in New Orleans. Both really looking forward to it.

We won't be in LA until the 5th so we probably won't be able to meet up until the tour starts. Would still be nice to hear from any others going.

This is my second overseas trip, but my first contiki and im really excited.  Im actually travelling round the world for a couple of years, so I will be in LA for a week before our trip and 5 or 6 months after. I am going on contiki by myself and would love to meet people before hand.

Well the tour starts in 10 days and i have just decided to come along and booked today. Talk about last minute! I'll be arriving 2 days before and will probably try and stay at the contiki hotel in Anaheim the night before - would be keen to catch up with everyone in the hotel bar if they have one! Let me know whos interested.

Will it be only Australians? We cant escape each other can we!
