I'd like to do this tour late next year and wondering how much including flights and spending money did people allow for?????? and if they allowed at least 30 days from start to finish - including recovery from jet lag....

My sister done the Grand Southern in 2004 and all up (the tour, flights and spending money) it cost her $13,000.

Wow, that seems like a lot. I did Europe for 8 weeks and it didn't cost that much (excluding spending money). What currency is that in and where did she fly from?
The tour is AUD$2789 and return flights from here (Aust.) are only about $2000 including taxes. Saying you need about US$100 per day for food and extras (not including big spending items), that's AUD$120. Times by 30 days, give or take, is AUD$3600. That's not quite AUD$8500. *shrug* |

I went this summer just gone and spent £2100 on the trip and flights and just over £1500 in spending money while out there, well worth it but paying it off now!
And 30 days is probably about right, the jet lag back coming from New York is not too bad and that gives u a couple of days in LA before the trip and a couple of days in New York afterwards as well |
