Just wondering if anyone knows if the hotel where the Grand Southern starts (best western inn) is anywhere near Hollywood? I know Hollywood is quite a drive from the hotel but Im planning on staying at this hotel 3 nights before the trip starts and want to see hollywood, LA etc. Does anyone know if the hotel organises day trips up to LA or if there is easy transport to get there? I dont really want to have to change hotels twice before the trip starts lol so Im hoping they do!
I think you can book tours from the hotel but i'm looking at getting Amtrak into LA then catching the metro to Holloywood. Works out to cost about $30US round trip.
Hi. yeah i'm doing the Southern starting May 28th. Amtrak is a train company in the US. They do intercity trains. There might even be a local service that does trians from Anaheim to LA but i'm not ture sure. Check www.amtrak.com The trains you want are from Anaheim to Union Station. It's known as LAX on their site but it's not the airport. When does your tour start?
