Hi everybody, my name is Dave. I'm planning a Grand Southern trip next year to start in L.A. on August 16 and finish in New York on September 8.

So, here's what I'm thinking: I wanna fly to San Francisco and stay there for 3-4 days (because we don't get to go there), then go to L.A. for about 4-5 days before the trip so I can experience everything, then start the trip in L.A. When the trip finishes in New York, I wanna spend abour 4-5 days there to make sure I see everything. Then I wanna do a Hawaiian stopover on the way back to Australia for 2-3 days.

The main reason I joined up to this board is to get to know people who are going on the same trip as me. I haven't got anyone to go with at the moment, but I've got over a year until I go so I'm sure I'll find someone!

So, anyone planning on doing a Grand Southern trip at the same time, let me know!

Im also doin the GS tour next year.. its never too early to start plannin... i started plannin last year.. have alot of family commitments to sort out b4 i ditch the down under and head to the states..

Im thinkin goin round early october.. wanted to go in august bt got alot of famalee birthdayz to attend to and givin it a miss is not an option..

I'm planning on doing the Grand Southern tour somewhere around August/September 2008, depending on which dates best suit the leave I can get. Will probably also do the LA Scene & Big Apple Explorer tour too, if I can afford it!

Looks like the 2008 brochures are now out too, so I'll pick up one those soon.

Just an update to my previous post, now that dates are up I'll be more than likely on the August 16 tour.

Looks like prices have fallen several hundred dollars too, which is great!

My friend and I put down a deposit yesterday for the Aug 16-Sep8 Grand Southern, getting in early but should be awesome.

We are starting in San Fran before tour, then moving to LA for a few days, then Anaheim for a few days - and finishing in NY for a few extra days as well.
