Hey!
I'm jess, and I will be 27 when I go. I'm actually doing the Eastern Discovery, which meets this tour in New Orleans.

I'm having 3 days in LA, at disneyland and all that before flying to New Orleans, and then 7 days in New York at the end of the tour. Hoping to make some friends on tour.

Cheers
Jess

Nice to see a few other 27 year olds taking this tour too! Smiler
Always a bonus that the drinking age in the US is 21.

Hey everyone, just booked this tour today, kinda spur of the moment thing but will be wicked. Glad to see some other people doing this by themselves as well. Doing the NY explorer when the tour ends. I'm 24, I've done Europe with Contiki and it was awesome. I think the states will be even better though.

Daniel, I reckon Contiki in the US is better! Whilst Europe is absolutely amazing, the hotel quality is no where near as great at the US. I had a double bed in every hotel on the Wild Western. The travel time isn't as long in the US as well.

I'm booked to do the Eastern Discovery tour which starts in New Orleans but am trying to get the extra holidays approved so I can join the Grand Southern! I've been to Vegas and Grand Canyon before but only for a short time. Monument Valley looks amazing, so does Dallas and Memphis! Fingers Crossed!

Gordy, you can be a surrogate 27 year old! If I do the Grand Southern I'll only be arriving in Anaheim the day before our trip. Might be enough time to squeeze in some time at Disneyland! Smiler

I'm thinking.... should I just do the GS which joins up to the Eastern Discovery ( which I am currently on...)
or just do the additional states seperately... ahh DECISIONS decisions!

Hey Bel Q - are you going to do Disney World as well as Disney Land?

Yay - I got the extra holidays approved so I have to go to the travel agent today and change my booking from Eastern Discovery to Grand Southern!!

I can't believe the last night we are in Las Vegas is a Friday night!!! I will be looking into what shows are on, as I didn't enjoy the Contiki option cabaret show last time. It may have changed though.

I'd love to see one of the Cirque De Soleil shows, as well as get around and see the Tresure Island Pirate Show, and what the Bellagio fountain at night!

MissKay - I'll definitely be doing DisneyWorld in Orlando... I'll be flying into LA in the morning of 23rd Sept which is the day before the tour leaves. After travelling to Anaheim and checking in, I might not have a lot of time to explore Disneyland. But if I can, I definitely will. My camera was broken last time I was there so I got no photos!

There isn't all that much to do in Anaheim other than DisneyLand. I got lost twice trying to find an internet cafe as well as looking for the big outlet mall (almost got sunstroke!!). Smiler

Everyone should do the NY explorer when the tour ends, its by far the cheapest way to do NY and you get to do it with everyone.

I'm not doing the NY Explorer - I've been to NYC before so am pretty comfortable to tackle the city without a tour.

However as long as we're not all sick of each other by then Big Grin we can pick a central meeting point, and explore together!
