Hi there just wonder if anyone else is doing this tour starting on the 28th june 08?

I know its only early days but im very excited

I also plan to do LA Scene June 22-25 before GS and Big Apple Explorer July 22-24 after GS.

So is anyone else going on these dates or even thinking about it?

Hi, I haven't booked my tickets yet, but if all goes to plan, I will be going on the Jun 28th Grand Southern too.
I am planning to fky out from AKL on Friday night, land at LAX on Friday lunchtime, then start tour on Saturday!! So not much time to see the sights in LA.

Wow that is not much time at all, will you be staying for longer in new york after the trip is over?

I will do the Eastern Discovery starting July 10th. I think we will come together in New Orleans. The rest of your tour and mine are the same. It often happen that Contiki Tours are split of. It would be great to hear from you.

I'm doing the Grand Southern starting June 28th and I'm excited already.
I'm traveling alone on the tour so it would be nice to get to know some people beforehand.
I'm actually flying out to LA on 12th June to give myself plenty of time to explore, lay on the beach and meet up with friends. I'm not flying back to England until Aug 10th so I have a few weeks after the tour finishes to maybe head up into Canada or just see what happens?

I have just paid for this Grand Soutern tour and am super excited. I too am travelling alone and would love to chat to people on the same tour before we go. Krimajisty.. I didnt think there was a LA Scene tour that connected with our tour??? So will be staying in the contiki hotel three days before to explore LA.

Travelling on my own too...a little nervous but just can't wait. Some friends of mine did the Grand Southern about 2 years ago and said it's absolutely awesome!

I've just booked this trip - haven't worked out how many days it is yet, if I do I might be sick with excitement!!

Not decided exactly what I'm doing before/after yet, but thinking about flying into San Francisco to see that before the trip. And defo staying a couple of days in NY afterwards - I've now booked the Big Apple Explorer on 22nd July.

I have also just booked the Grand Southern departing 28/06/2008. I fly out of Melbourne on 23 June to spend a few days looking around before the tour starts. Also staying a few days in NYC at the end before seeing a bit of Canada.

Not too sure if I can make this trip any more, Iv had some other stuff come up but will be trying my best to get everything sorted, if I can make it, it will probably be last minute thing I just hope I get in before its all booked out
