Hey all,
today I phoned my travel agency because of the trip, but they couldn't tell me any news. They get these information latest March 18th. My travel agency advised me to book the tour, flights and hotels with one tour operator to get all the money back in the case of cancelling the tour.
But I really hope that it will take place because I'm really looking forward to it!

Hi everyone!

I'm also travelling on my own and doing my first Contiki tour. Very excited!

I'm 22 and live in Tasmania, Australia.

I arrive in LA on the morning of the 15th and am staying at the Best Western - would be keen to catch up with anyone else who's also staying there.

I'm planning to jump off the trip for a day in Dallas to catch up with some relatives, and am staying a night in New York at the end before flying back to Aus.

hey guy's, well excited now, booked this last year and it's taken an age to come round!! I'm up for drinks on the 15th, i'm at the best western from the 13th so was planning to try and see a bit of LA before the tour, is anyone else doing that?

I will be staying in Hollywood from the 12th to the 14th, then in Anaheim on the 15th. Got my contiki pack the other day, as I leave in 13 days (my ticker thingo was made when I was catching a different flight) and have checked out the hotel websites and the full itinerary and list of optionals. So excited! I was considering going to Universal Studios on the 13th, if anyone is interested in joining me there. Might go to 6 Flags, but not sure because I am a wuss and might not get my money's worth if I skip the scary rides.

We need to check into the tour the night before at 7pm at the Best Western, according to the documents. When I checked into the LA Scene last year, we had to go to the hotel business centre, which is a little room near the breakfast area and foyer. It will make it easy for us to meet for drinks if we all meet at the check in and go from there. We should be able to pick up some extra people who have not checked the boards, too.

Was also thinking about Universal, would of joined you but just realised my flight doesn't land till 3pm on the 13th!

Arrive in LA on the 12th after a week in San Francisco.
I am also doing the New York Explorer tour after the trip..
Looks like a quite a few of us will be traveling alone.. Me too so one of you are going to be my roomie!!
I've done Contiki in Europe before so i know how much fun this trip is going to be..
Also looks like a few birthdays on the trip.. Me too!! Lots of fun to be had....
Ill be at the Best Western the night of the 15th so whoever can we should meet up and say hi before the tour...

14th would be great for me just looking at tickets online (http://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/tickets.html), do you think it's worth getting the 'Front of Line' pass, it's 27$US more expensive, but from reading a few reviews the only thing people complain about at universal is the waiting so thinking it might be worth it! Found 'All Anaheim Tours' (http://www.allanaheimtours.com/Body.asp?tour=ANA-B0005&page=TourDetails) which will pickup from Anaheim so getting there and back doesn't look to be a problem. Well excited now, can't wait to see Terminator 2:3D and the Simpsons Ride!!!

The front of the line pass is a good idea, although I won't know if I can afford it until closer to the time, thanks to the crappy Aussie dollar. I like the 3D rides. The "flight over California" ride in Disney California Adventure Park was my favourite when I was in Anaheim last year. I'm looking forward to the studio tour as well.

Actually, I am in San Diego at the moment. St Paddy's Day was fun, guys bought me drinks simply because they liked my accent. I will send everyone my US phone number soon. Having a good time, Mission Bay is beautiful. My bridesmaid dress is tight,so I think I have to cut out the American cuisine!

Hi guys,

I just pickup my documents yesterday and my travel agent informed me there is a change to the NY hotel end of tour point.
We no longer finish at the Marrakech Hotel it is now ending at the Milford Plaza Hotel - which is one block from Times Square.

I booked to stay in the Marrakech, but they changed me over to the Milford Plaza before I even knew there had been a change.

Just wanted to let you know, and I know some people have booked into hostels near the Marrakech, hopefully it all works out.

Not long to go now!

Oh really? Damn, will have to talk with Jobi about where we are staying, but the hostel I was staying with hasn't got out our booking correct anyway and I was going to call them about that.
