Hey people.
Phones- Damn... really not sure yet but i think i'll just get a pre paid US sim when i get over there because my plan is almost up. Six flags - There will be shuttle buses. Big theme parks always have shuttles. I'll found out about it and let you know. The internet deal seems like that way to go. 3 months tonight we will be having pre drinks !!! WOOOOOOO Jobes x |

Hey all,
just booked the tour, too. Nice to hear that it's full. I'm from Germany, it's my first trip with contiki. Does anybody stay in NY for a few days after the tour? I'm arriving quite late in the evening the 15th. Hope someone is still awake to have a predrink! Alex |

yeh mate so far im booking 6 nights in a hostel in San Francisco from the 9th and fly down to LA on the 15th but ill be up probably mate and out and about lol ,,,,

Hi Everyone,
I have just booked this tour and am counting down the days/hours, can't wait. I am 23 from Brisbane and am travellin on my own. I have done the Contiki New Zealand and it was awesome so I am hoping the American one will be much the same. Seeing a lot of Aussies, am loving that. Will be arriving in LA 2 days before the tour and will be stayin at the Best Western, cant wait to meet everyone there. Cassie |

I am excited to see that so many people have booked now, and it's good to see a lot of fellow solo travellers. I went on one of the European camping Contikis when I was 22 and was one of the oldest people on tour, so it's also nice to see that there are also others who are above the age of 18 on this one! I notice a few people will be in San Fran before the tour, I will be there as well, but too early to meet up with anyone. I leave for the USA 7 weeks today. So excited!!

Oh, and for anyone too stingy (like me) to book the Best Western for the night before the tour, I'm staying down the road in the Little Boy Blue Motel. It is not much cheaper really, but I'll have already been in the country for a month, so I'm trying to save wherever I can!

Oops, I also forgot one last thing. I am staying at the New York Hotel and Hostel for 3 nights after the tour. The hostel is a block from the Marrakech and I have stayed there before- it's a reasonable place and a fair bit cheaper.

Hey.. I don't fly home until late June from the states so i have to watch my cash as well. Can you please send me the link for the hostel you are staying at in NY because the hotel with contiki is $185 a night. It's too much when i still have over six weeks left when we get to NY. Is anyone else in the staying for awhile after the tour ?

Sorry, it's called the BROADWAY hotel and hostel! I have booked a dorm for myself, which you might not want to do for so long. They have twin rooms as well, which is what I stayed in with my sister in June, it was about US$30 each or so, I think. Not sure what else they have. I really wanted to do both, but ran I ran out of money and I'm already spending 2 months in the country as it is. Good idea about NY, I should have thought of that! I'm stuck in a dorm with randoms. Oh well! I am flying home on the 15th as well, but I go to back LA on the 14th for the night.
