yeah aussies are always good to have a drink with cant wait. Tour all booked and confirmed today. Im flying to L.A on the 14th in the arvo so will be keen for drinks on the 15th. Also staying at the best western which sounds like most people are staying at

hey all just looked on the dates thing on the contiki web site to see if it is full........and the 16th is gone ?? douse that mean it is canceled??

Hey it does not mean the tour is cancelled, i just rang contiki and they said its almost fully booked and theres only a few places left

yeh I just rang, they make the date invisible so you cant book over the net or something so they have to ring up due to the tour nearly being full....

um....Phones...Im going to take my mobile over looking at getting a newer one was told to get one with Tri Band…..I use pre paid so was just going to get a pre paid simcard when i get to USA .. Or can i get one that will work in USA over here?

Hey guys just to add to the Irish stereotype I'd be up for pre tour drinks too...

I'm on facebook, Michael McAllister (Ireland), mine is the one with the picture of guys jumping off a diving board into the sea from my last contiki!

I'm heading to Disneyland with a couple of mates on the 15th, hopefully checking in or dumping my bag at the Best Western beforehand. I presume we'll spend close to all day there, I think they close at around 8pm. So, after that I'll head back to the BW and hopefully meet up with some of you guys there! I suppose the closer to April we get, we can devise a plan to meet up, such as meeting at hotel reception at a certain time, or something. OR, does anyone know yet if we have a tour group meeting on the night of the 15th? I went to one at the "contiki" hotel in London before heading off on our European tour. I suppose when we get our info packs it'll all be in there.

About phones.... I'm thinking I'll take my oz one, enable roaming, disable incoming calls (because they cost a bomb while on roaming) and disable 3G so I'll be dependent on any free wireless I can pick up. I won't need the net much anyway. I'll also rely on text to keep in contact with people when we have to meet up in cities on the tour. Seemed to work ok in Europe
