Sure am, booked yesterday going on the 12th May New York Explorer too. Planning on spending a few days in LA (staying in Best Western Stovall’s Inn) before the Grand Southern starts. Is anyone else getting to LA early?

Hi, I'm about to book this tour. I'm going over for my friend's wedding in San Diego in March and then going on this tour after the wedding. I'm travelling on my own for the first time but it's my 3rd contiki and I'm so excited!

The Best Western Stovall's Inn is quite nice, too, I went on the LA scene this year and stayed there. The tour starts from there, doesn't it?

It's my first contiki and I'm travelling on my own too, so not really sure what to expect but really looking forward to it!! Yes your right the tour starts from The Best Western, glad to hear it's a nice hotel.

Since you've been to LA before can you recommend some must do things as i've got 3 days to exploer before the tour starts, hopefully meeting a college friend one day, and was thinking about Universal Studios, have you been there?

I have not been to Universal Studios, as I spent too much time at Disneyland that I never got a chance! I'm hoping to go on this coming trip, if I have enough money. On the LA Scene contiki we took a day tour around Hollywood where we went on a walking tour and then to Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach, which were both quite nice. Santa Monica was nice, but I'd recommend Venice Beach over Santa Monica, because there was just so much more going on. It's a bit tacky, but it's part of the fun! Anaheim is not really very close to all that stuff, so I haven't had a chance to see anything else, really. I might explore the city a little bit more on my return, since I'll be flying in during March and staying only an hour or so south, in San Diego.

Hi guys, I just booked this tour and can't wait for it to start!
I'm spending a few days with friends in San Francisco then a few days in LA. I'm staying at the Best Western Stovall's Inn for the night of the 15th. I've also booked a hotel for a week in NYC at the end before flying home. Apart from staying with friends in SF and LA, I'm travelling alone.

I just booked my tour today!!!! So excited!!!
My name's Katie, 26, from Sydney. I'm travelling on my own also.

This will be my 2nd contiki tour, I went on the Ultimate European last year, which was fantastic. I hope the US is just as good if not better!

I fly into LA on the 14th and am staying at the Best Western beforehand. After the tour I have 4 nights at the Marrakech, but am exploring NY on my own. Then I head off on the Grand Northern tour back to LA.

Is anyone else doing both tours?

Looking forward to counting down the days.....

Booked it today :P its my first contiki and well first time out of AUS..and traveling alone hopefully going to be flying in on the 10th and staying in a hostel in San Francisco to do some sight seeing then ill fly down on the 15th and stay at Best Western that night i think its called..So see you all there going to be staying in NY for 4 more days I think haven’t booked any accommodation for that yet ahhaha
