My Mrs and I have just booked to go on this tour. We are from NZ and are also going on the new york explorer on the 15th worked out cheaper to do that than staying in a hotel and sight seeing seperatley.

My friend and i are going to book ourselves on the grand southern for december, however we are having trouble deciding which direction to leave from, to do NY to LA with you guys or to do LA to NY on the 17th.

What made you guys choose this direction? Any opinions you have would be greatly appreciated,

my friend and i just booked the GS starting from NY to LA on the 18th of december 09.

To explorer1105437 the reason why we are choosing this direction is according to our travel agent and contiki the tour is less likely to cancel and more ppl are likely to start from new york at this time of year.

the reason we went NY to LA was so the end of the trip was in vegas and the theme parks are all in LA so we have 5 nights there after the tour to have a bit of fun and relax time.

Thanks for your feedback and we have officially booked ourselves on this tour !!!
We decided that this tour was a safer bet plus it will be good to see times square etc all done up for chrissy.

We're going to spend 3 days in NY before hand then 5 or so at the end in LA so we can do disney, universal and go down to sea world.
We are from Warrnambool, Victoria in Oz!!!

Its Brad from Australia, I booked this tour on the 6th of Feb and lost everything i owned in the Victorian bushfires on the 7th of feb. managed to save my passport. Really lookin forward to this tour. Went on the Great Britain tour last October.

Just booked this tour today, i'm so excited, counting the days already!!

The visa question....I know that you have to fill out a form 72 hours before you actually land in America, Contiki said they would be sending that to me to fill out - hope that helps : )
