hey hey i'm Jacqui, im 21 and im looking to see who is going to be traveling with me on the grand southern LA-NY in janurary 2008. i am keen to get to know some people to make it a lil easier! im so excited and cant wait. and im spending 16 days in california before the tour having a look around and meeting up with some friends from home.

im jules. yea im going to book my grand southern tour 26/01/08 next week. im doing new york new year to which is finishing 03/01/08 so ill have a big gap of like 3 weeks befor grand southern. ill prob hang out in new york for 10 or so days and then fly to LA and hang out there for 10 or so days b4 tour. will be travelling alone

I believe we already have a thread on this specific tour, but I'd just like to let you know that I'm definitely going, put my deposit down in March.

Definitely looking forward to going, it's less than 7 months to go.

i put my deposit down on friday for new york new year,LA scane (20/01) grand southern (26/01/08) sooooo excited. im also doing a trek america tour to canada in between new york new year and LA scene to fill in some time ( doing trek america cos contiki doesnt offer any canada in winter tours) im 21 currently been living in sydney for past year

hey guys sorry taken so long to reply but i didnt relise people had replied... the digest said i had no replies... oh well... so here we all are! i was almost over going on this thing cuz i havent been doin anything about anything and yer i decided its time to get more organised, i paid my deposite in april yay for me but still have a fair way to go damn it. booking flights now way too late lol... but ya get that. im lookin for accomodation in LA at the moment, im leaving here on the 16th now and im spending a few days in la then heading north, if i can, to san fran to have a lil lookski, then back the day before the grand southern starts! ok well its late and i have to get up for work early... hope to hear from yall soon!

Good to see our group is getting bigger!! Its so exciting that we will all kind of get to know each other before we go, rather than not knowing anything about anyone when we get there. I am getting into LA on the 20th Jan and doing the LA scene, then will have three days in LA by myself before the Grand Southern. Anyone who is going to be there before the tour starts should get in contact with me so we can maybe organise to do some stuff together. I dont have an email address of my own yet so any one who wants to get in contact with me will have to do it on this site.

hey hey jessica! i will be in la from the 16th... just buming around la and the outskirts and also going to san francisco for a few days to have a look around! im thinkin bout doin the la scene if money permits, i'll have to book it soon if its not already booked out. anyway i payed more off contiki, getting closer! yay! and im getting more excited knowing more people!

i just booked the LA scene tour yay how excitimg, i wasnt planning on it. it all just happened, its like one of those drunk moments! ahhhhhh im gonna be so brokeskies! but least it covers my accomodation lol, and i think this means im not gonna go to san fran like i had origionally planned...maybe next trip i will do san fran. all good! so excited. so now tell me... who else is doing the LA Scene!

I am going on the La Scene and so is Julz. It's good that there will be a few of us together for the whole time. It is definitely more exciting when you start to get to know some of the people you are going with, it makes it less scary, i reckon!!

That sounds like a good plan, it would be great to have someone to hang out with in LA in the few days that I have in between the two Contiki's. I guess we would really have to make plans as it gets closer to the time though, as I am not sure whether I would be going to Disneyland during the LA Scene or if I would be going somewhere else. It all sort of depends on what the rest of the group is doing, but I definitely wasnt to go to Universal Studios as well, so that could be something I could do during the LA Scene. Well ,we have about 29 weeks to figure it out!!
