The Spanish Spree Tour is awesome!!!

I recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in learning Spanish culture and having a great time at night.

Spanish is part of my culture so that was one of the main reasons I wanted to go and see all wonderful historic places this country has to offer.

And you will learn a lot plus you will meet a lot of cool new people -including the tour manager and driver who were so cool.  Everyone were like a family thru all this awesome experience.

Me and my husband took all the optional excursions and they were worth it.

The beaches in Ibiza are beautiful!!!

The hotels were nice.  My favorites were the ones in Granada, Seville and Barcelona.

I will also recommend to stay one more night after the tour in Barcelona which has a lot to offer.  I wish we could have stay one more day to see more.

I miss the people in this tour they were so wonderful and amazing.  My tour was from July 3 - July 15.

If you need any more information about this tour send me a private message.

Hope you can visit Spain with Contiki.

Hasta Luego.

- Maritza I.

Hey,

My tour was a two week long party. Some people barely did any sightseeing. I personally thought there could have been a little more sightseeing to accompany the partying. However I know the tour that left on the 3rd was a lot more relaxed than ours because we crossed paths in Ibiza and we compared. So I suppose it really depends on your luck and what you want to see. Spain itself is absolutely stunning. My favorite spots were Toledo, Ibiza and Barcelona. The advantages of the tour are that you get to meet new people, some of which are such cool, fun people, and you don't have to worry much about transportation. However, for the amount of money that we spent on the tour itinerary , we had to pay quite a bit for entrance fees, metro, and taxis- this got expensive quickly. All in all, the tour is good, but seeing as how it is a new tour, it hasn't really been perfected yet. Also, I wouldn't really call it a family vacation, it's more something you do with your friends, or alone.

Spain is worth it. The culture, the people, the beautiful views- which ever way you choose to visit it, you'll be appreciative of this wonderful country.

Sincerely,

Monica

I went on the Spanish Spree Tour that started May 9th/06 and went till May 20th/06. I had a blast! This was my first time going to Europe and going on a Contiki tour. My fav places were Madrid, Ibiza and Granada. I really liked Madrid because I really felt like I was in Europe. It was a very beautiful and traditional looking European city. Ibiza had amazing beaches and nightlife and was just plain amazing! If you love techno you will love Ibiza! I hope to go back to Ibiza again one day. Granada was a really friendly and pretty city. Granada had some very good nitelife also. Spain is a wonderful country to visit. The people are very friendly and the there is lots to see and do. You will have an awesome time on this tour! I definitely recommend it!

Caroline

I'm going on this tour in April 2008 and I was wondering if it's okay to get by without knowing any Spanish?

I am going on the Spanish Spree in mid May and I was wondering whether I needed to bring a bathing suit?

Just read some comments in Trip Advisor about Hotel Catalonia Park Putxet in Barcelona - said it was infestested with bugs. Don't know if that's true or just a "spoiler" writing. Has anyone been there recently who can respond to this?
Thanks so much! Agent-C
