Helllllo fellow travelers,

I've done a trip with Contiki before- London & Paris (if you're thinking about it- go!) - and now I am considering Oktoberfest 7 days in Munich in 2009.

I can't find much discussion about it- if you've gone- what is the camping like? Is it gross? Is it awesome? I'm not much of an outdoorsman but wouldn't mind roughing it for a few days if it's going to be a blast.

I've not done Oktoberfest camping but, having been on Contiki and to Oktoberfest, I presume it'd be pretty noisy and pretty messy! Don't know about "how gross" but anything that's shared and outdoors for me is icky!!

You'd get all sorts in the camp grounds though so it'd be a good way to meet people!
