Hey there,

Just wondering if anyone had some sort of idea when the best time to do this trip is?
I have been trying to do a little research as to when the snow is at its best but have come up with little results
I was looking at doing this trip around the Jan 2nd date but am now worried if it is still a little early for good snow?

Any advice would be awesome

I'm thinking of doing the trip around Jan 2nd too! Was also thinking about good snow and have the following for you:

1) I did this trip a couple of years back in Feb and the snow was pretty good (awesome trip btw), and while the general trend is that there is more snow mid to later in the season, its all a bit of luck really. Last season the snow came late but when I was there, they had massive amounts of snow in Dec/Jan and it didnt snow as much for the rest of the season!

2) Temp in Jan is typically the coldest month - which I like to see as a good thing.

3) Spoke to contiki and this tour has never been cancelled due to lack of snow,even if the village is not covered mountain is still pretty good.

4) The ski welt is massive - bound to find some good spots somewhere! lol

Hope this is somewhat helpful. Its all a gamble pretty much but its a seriously fun trip regardless!
