Hello! I'm planning to do the 7-day Ski Austria-Hopfgarten trip from Dec. 27, 2008 to Jan. 3, 2009. Anyone going that week? Also, has anyone gone before? How was it? What was NYE like there? I've never been out of the country for New Year's so I think it will be pretty awesome.
Will be bussing it there from London (OMG - 20 hour bus journey!)and fly back (only 2 hrs flight) from Munich/Salzburg/Innsburg instead on the 3rd Jan.
Never been to Austria on NYE but reading the other discussions, it seems very cool though.

skied in France last year - on French/Italian border and it was awsome. Also skied in New Zealand this August and I think Europe in general is supposed to be better. I'm just a bit worried there might not be much snow at the end of December. Have you skied before?
yeh iv snowboarded twice but only on the aussie slopes, all up about a month...but i know europe will be alot better and will test me alot..but im just lookin forward to the experience..new years in a dif country wld be amazing.

Yeah unfortunately catching the bus, will be quite long, but we'll see how we go. Being skiing once before but will be trying snow boarding for the first time.
