Hey guys, planning on doing the Grand southern tour in sept 2010.

just wondering what i need to get in order to get into the states?

do i need a visa or just a passport?
how does it all work?

You need your passport, but you also need a Visa. You can do that at a website online that your travel agent will give you thats free to do.

Australia is part of the visa waiver program, you just need to go online and apply for ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). here's a link if it helps

its really easy - the online form (follow the link above) just asks you about criminal history and some personal details - doesn't take long at all and then once you submit it you get a reply back pretty much straight away.
