hi there

i am from Australia and going to the usa in feb 2010 on the GS tour. i need advice from anyone who can help about the volt difference between australia and USA. Like OZ we have 240volts appliance and in the USA apparently its 120 how can we use our appliances in the usa without damaging them?? Or do we just use the power adaptor that has a OZ plug to the American?? This may sound totally stupid but im so confused!

well from what i understand is if the voltage is lower then all you need is the adapter for the dif plugs but if say an american was coming here they'd need a voltage converter other wise their appliance would short cercate. so if we go to a place of lower voltage then i think its fine it just wont charge as fast or what not...

dont quote me on that however coz im not exactly sure. thats just my understanding of what ive read on this site... though im dyslexic so i get things mixed up quite often lol
