Hi all,
1st time on one of these tours so just wondering if anyone can offer me any advice on how much money I am likely to need? I am doing the North by North East tour next June along with 2 extra nights at the start in NYC and need to start saving now but im just after a rough estimate of how much I am likely to need per day if I was to go on a budget or all out. Sorry if this has been answered already but I couldnt find anything recent. Thanks, Jon |

Jon,
depedning on how much money you want to spend i guess... i'm over budgeting and planing to have $150 a day it means that if there is something i really want i can just splurge. some days you can spend a fair bit of cash and other days you wont spend a thing other than for food. I'm doing the grand southern july 2010, and i'll have about $5000 for spending and putting aside $2500 for tours and what not. like i said its better to over budget than underbudget. but then again - i have got a minor shopping addiction............. ha Karlie Grand Southern July 15th 2010 |

Thats great thanks Karlie. Think il aim for about $100-150 a day then and try to save as close to that as poss and I should be set.

Hi Jon
I did this tour last July 08 it was absolutley Fabulous! you will love it.. i took along about $2700 spending money and i think that was enough.. I honestly bought everything i wanted too and it was great. Tho i did have a really great exchange rate Aus to US dollar at .96c The most expensive place was Quebec outrageously expensive and very french. I did every tour optional tour except for the Jet boat in montreal. (tho most did this one) and it was still enough cash i think. Have a wonderful time Holly |
